Earth Portal: Guided Tour of the Universe
June 8th, 2012The Earth Portal opened on April 21st as a featured exhibit at the 50th anniversary celebration of the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair. It was open to the public until October 14, 2012. It was our first production for use in the GeoDome.
The Earth Portal show uses cutting edge technology with real-time applications to display awe-inspiring images from NASA, NOAA and beyond in an immersive, powerful thirty-minute educational show for all ages. It was a must-see exhibit at Next Fifty and saw thousands of visitors.
The Earth Portal experience helps visitors gain a deep appreciation for the latest scientific understanding of the Universe and the preciousness of life on Earth. This immersive experience is coupled with interactive exhibits and educational materials that demonstrate ways in which whole systems thinking, design science, and collaborative processes can be used to address many of the complex challenges facing humanity.
